&
MARKETING
As a road map to success, a concise sales and marketing plan is
developed for each property. Included will be an overall analysis
of present operations, key accounts, market share analysis, strengths,
weakness and opportunities. Valley Hospitality will also provide
comprehensive opportunity assessment with recommendations on advertising,
marketing and sales strategies to include a detailed budget and
media schedule for client review and approval.
COMMUNITY & NATIONAL SALES
The sales effort of a property can often be the pivotal element
in its success. VHS places a significant priority on active
community involvement. Along with firmly established relationships,
our sales team capabilities encompasses the traditional and contemporary.
The sales effort is coordinated as a team that spans all properties
insuring maximum efficiency. A detailed weekly report of all team
members client contact is recorded and available in a weekly report.
The minutes of the weekly sales meeting are also available for
review.
ADVERTISING & DIRECT MARKETING
Valley Hospitality employs a full-time staff whose focus is in
producing both individual and cluster marketing & advertising.
As a team Valley Hospitality has been the recipient of several
significant advertising and service industry marketing awards
in virtually every year of its operation.
Production costs of essential items, such as brochures, rack
cards and web sites can be considerably lower than franchise recommended
vendors. While quality is consistent, the content is individually
tailored to a property, providing more relevance to a guest. Direct
marketing pieces are also substantially more focused and affordable.
Valley Hospitality stand alone web sites have demonstrated success
in areas where franchised sites could not. An example would be
weekend leisure business for a hotel. VISTA web sites have also
reduced operation costs by reducing print costs of brochures,
menus etc.
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY
Valley Hospitality provides complete accounting services to include;
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll with Tax Reporting,
Sales Tax Payment & Reporting, Year-end W2 & 1099, Bank
Reconciliation, Financial Reporting, Monthly Profit and Loss Statement.
A complete monthly P&L review will be conducted by VHS President,
Brian Plemmons, no later than twenty days following the month-end
conclusion of operations. Management narratives and perspectives
relating to budget and forecast are included.
ANNUAL BUDGET
VHS will develop an aggressive but realistic annual budget with
all revenue, expenses, and profits detailed. VHS staff will meet
with ownership to discuss all elements of the budget line by line.
PURCHASING
Purchase volume has enabled VHS to negotiate considerable savings
for many recurring house functions. Detailed analysis is performed
regularly to ensure properties receive maximum discounts whenever
applicable.
MAINTENANCE
The VHS corporate maintenance department employs full-time certified
electricians, plumbers and HVAC engineers. With real forward thinking
in preventive maintenance, VHS properties have shown a history
of significantly reduced operational costs while ensuring optimum
customer comfort. The VHS maintenance team has proven invaluable
with renovation projects by reducing costs and time requirements
and ensuring quality.
LANDSCAPING
With the creation of our in-house landscaping division, we are
assured of prompt and quality workmanship. The ability to deploy
a team of experienced landscapers at a moments notice is a tremendous
asset when showing the hotel to an important wholesaler or corporate
client. The advantages of quality assurance and cost reduction
are considerable.
TRAINING
VHS takes great care to ensure that more than adequate training
is provided for all positions. Employees are educated as to what
is specifically required in a position and what constitutes success.
It is a VHS goal to develop leaders not followers. As a company,
VHS prefers to promote from within. To ensure success, an all
encompassing 12-week "boot camp" training course has
been created to develop AGM into General Managers. All facets
of the industry are detailed as well as "real world"
scenarios that help managers successfully respond to the "unplanned"
eventualies of the service industry.
HELPING HANDS
Quite often a hotel or restaurant is judged not only on how well
it runs but on how well it deals with emergency situations. VHS
has developed a "Helping Hands" Response Team, essentially
an all-star team comprised of key employees who can assume responsibility
during critical situations and direct corporate assets to successfully
respond. In the event a property is in need of assistance, any
number of fully-trained positions can be filled with an employee
experienced in that particular position.
PAYROLL & EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
VHS provides complete direct deposit payroll services. Payroll
management is provided through custom built labor tracking software
developed exclusively by VHS. A complete selection of reports
are available to track and manage all payroll expenditures. State-of-the-art
hand sensor time clocks ensure zero tampering.
Employee policies and procedures are comprehensive and cover
performance and responsibility issues as well as state and federal
guidelines. We are a Alabama and Georgia certified drug-free workplace.
VHS provides an employee benefit package that is affordable and
attractive, promoting longer tenure and service consistency. An
employee development team has also been created and is manned
by employee representation from each property. Each month the
EDT meets with VHS President to discuss staff welfare and morale.
Inter-property bowling tournaments, golf tournaments, charity
events, and staff appreciation parties are scheduled regularly
to promote employee interaction and improve morale.
